Its been a while, but I really have missed blogging! To get back into things I thought Id do a post about a few things I’ve been into lately and some things that have inspired me.
One of the reasons I haven’t blogged recently is that I haven’t felt that inspired, I didn’t know what I wanted to blog about. While at work the other day I was having a little moan about how I missed blogging and how I never had ‘time’ to do it anymore. My manager gave me the little push I needed and said if I really want to do it then I will make time and that is very true! So I have decided I’m going to put some time aside and start blogging again.
✮Makeup- I have been playing around with different makeup looks recently, trying to step out of my comfort zone and use more colour so when the black Friday deals were on a couple of weeks ago I purchased the Urban Decay electric palette while it was 30% off at Debenhams. I had wanted this palette for so long, the colours in it are beautiful. The third picture above is a look created with the palette by ‘@sssamanthaa’ on Instagram. I love this look and I cant wait to try it out on myself.
✮Writing- After reading about them and putting it off for so long because I didn’t really know where to start.. I finally started a bullet journal! Hopefully this will help me to be more organized with blogging too.
✮Fashion- I am loving the big glasses trend at the moment, the bottom right picture is me wearing some I purchased from Primark the other day. I absolutely love them! I think the gold frame makes them look really pretty too.
✮Reading- I recently re read my favourite inspirational book- Sophia Amoruso’s #Girlboss This book always inspires me to keep going and push to work and achieve my dreams.
✮Quote- ‘Go the extra mile, its never crowded’ I love this quote, if you really want to do something, try harder- go the extra mile and you will achieve your goal. Recently I have been making more time in a morning to do different makeup looks and post on my Instagram. By doing this I’ve been getting more practice with my makeup and getting pictures to keep track of my progress.
Hello everybody! I hope you are all having a lovely weekend, today I will be reviewing two Makeup Revolution palettes that I received as gifts at Christmas. Both of these palettes are so pretty and because they are similar shades I decided to review them together.
The two palettes featured are the Ultra blush palette in golden sugar and the Redemption iconic 3 palette. They are both so pretty and are quickly becoming my favourite palettes.
The golden sugar palette is something that I have been wanting for ages, all of the colours are so pretty and it is just the perfect cheek palette including bronzers, merged blushers, baked bronzer and 2 merged baked highlighters. I have been using this palette so much especially the bottom left highlighter.
These are swatches from the golden sugar palette, I am in love with all of the shades, they are highly pigmented and apply beautifully. I love that there is a mix of highlighters, blushes and bronzers because depending on what I feel like using on certain days I can mix it up.
The Iconic 3 palette is similar (so I have heard) to Urban decay’s naked 3 palette. I love the colours in this palette they are all shades that I tend to pick for eye makeup looks. I especially love the soft pink shades because they are my go to shades for everyday makeup looks.
As you can see the eye shadows are really pigmented and really pretty! The variety of colours is great because you can create so many different looks. I actually really like the packaging of this palette because you can see the shades which makes it easier when deciding which palette I would like to use.
This palette is perfect for me because I love the look of the Urban Decay palettes but at the moment I just cant justify spending so much money on one. From pictures I have seen the shades in this are pretty much identical to the naked 3 palette.
Overall I love both of these palettes, makeup revolution never fails when it comes to good quality and affordable products. They are definitely my favourite makeup brand!
Have you tried either of these palettes? Let me know in the comments below!
I have been feeling a little rubbish these past couple of days so when I saw that my W7 In The Nude palette had been delivered in the post this morning it really cheered me up!
I have heard that this palette is a dupe for the Urban Decay naked 3 palette so I am really excited to try it out as it is much more affordable at £4.99!
The packaging is like a rose gold colour which I love! It comes with a double sided make up brush, this is really useful because one side is good for applying the colour and the other side is good for blending.
I love all of the colours they are so nice, some are matte and some have a slight shimmer to them. The colours are pigmented and apply very nicely, you can create a range of different looks with this which I am very excited to try out!
Overall I really love this palette and cant wait to try out different make up looks with it. I cant wait to order the other palettes by W7 in the future.
I got mine from ebay from this seller if you would like to purchase one!
Do you have any of these eye shadow palettes? Which is your favourite?
