NYX Lip liner and Soft Matte Lip Cream Review!

While on a shopping in Barnsley (a town near where I live) I popped into boots and spotted an NYX counter! I don’t have one where I live so I was sooo excited when I spotted it! Something I have been wanting to try by NYX for ages is their soft matte lip creams because I have heard so much about them. I had to stop myself from buying the entire counter haha so in the end I picked up these 2 items: The soft matte lip cream in the shade 06 Instanbul and the retractable lip liner in the shade soft pink.

Retractable lip liner (soft pink)- I am not a massive fan of retractable lip liners just because I feel like they don’t last as long as pencil liners but since I loved the colour of this I got it anyway. I love this lip liner because it is quite soft, when you apply this it glides on the lips and doesn’t drag. The formula is really good and doesn’t smudge when its on.

Soft matte lip cream (Istanbul)- I am in love with the shade of this lipstick! Its like a pinky nude shade and perfect to pair with neutral makeup looks. I like the formula of this because its not too drying and it doesn’t crack once it dries which is a problem I have with some matte liquid lipsticks. This is more like a cream as the name suggests, which I love.

Those are the swatches of the lip liner and matte lip cream! The lip cream isn’t quite that dark in person its slightly lighter but its soooo nice I love it!

These are the first products I have tried by NYX and I am very impressed. Both products stayed on really well and are really good quality for an affordable price at £5.50 each.

Have you ever tried any products by NYX? If you have any reccomendations please make sure to let me know in the comments below!

✿ Soap And Glory Skincare ✿

12506598_200142390332273_1237749792_n.jpgHello everybody! As you are reading this I will be away with my Boyfriend until Friday, we have gone away for our anniversary for a few days. But I decided that while I am away I will set scheduled posts to go up, I cant decide whether that’s really sad or not but I didn’t want to leave my blog with no posts going up!

Anyway onto the post…

For Christmas I received ‘The whole shebang’ Gift set by Soap and Glory which included the ‘Peaches and clean’ Deep cleansing milk and a 50% off voucher for the’3in1 daily detox’ Vitamin C Facial wash. When I went into boots to get the facial wash it was on offer for £6 so with the voucher I got it for just £3!

✿Peaches and clean deep cleansing milk:

‘Purify your face and neck with a couple of pumps of peaches and clean, rinse well then massage on your moisturiser’

On the bottle it claims to ‘melt away makeup’ I usually remove my makeup with a makeup wipe before I use this just because that’s the way I like to do it. I did try it once without using a makeup wipe though to test if it does remove make up effectively, it did remove my makeup quite well but I find it didn’t remove my mascara very well as I was left with slight panda eyes after using it. Other than that though I do like this product and my skin does feel soft and cleansed afterwards.

✿ 3 in 1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash:

‘Squeeze a grape sized measure of this fabulous face soap and clarify onto damp skin, rub into a lather, then rinse’

I have been looking for a new facial wash for a while now so I was really excited about this one when I bought it. After using this facial wash my skin feels amazingly soft! I am really impressed, I love how refreshed my skin feels after using it. I also like how there are little beads inside of the facial wash that help to exfoliate.

On the whole I am really impressed with these products and they both have a place in my daily skincare routine. After using these I cant wait to try more of the Soap and glory skincare products!

Have you tried any products from the Soap and Glory skincare range? If so what did you think of them?

♡ New Makeup Storage.. ♡

Aviary Photo_130965812730644523.png

I was inspired my Chanelle to do this post, She recently did a really great post on her blog which you can read here about her makeup storage. My makeup trolley has been in need of a tidy up for a while now and I finally got round to doing it, seeing Chanelle’s makeup all organized inspired me to organize mine better.

To store all of my makeup I use this little metal trolley that has 3 different compartments, on the other parts of it I use to store my skincare and hair products.

So that everything was organized I decided to give everything its own compartment; Makeup palettes and setting spray in the pink basket, eye products such as mascara, eyeliner and eyebrow pencils in one tin and then face products such as foundation, bronzer, concealer and primer in the other.

Aviary Photo_130965813882378486.png

For lip products, the trolley has a handy little basket that hooks onto the front. It is perfect for storing my lip products such as lip glosses, lip balms and lipsticks. Although I might have to find somewhere else to store them soon as my lipsick/lipgloss/lipbalm collection is still evergrowing…

As you can see from the first picture my Real techniques makeup brushes slot in perfectly at the side of the pink basket which is a plus! I love how they come in those cases because they double as a brush stand.

I am really pleased with how this turned out, my makeup is much more organized now!

Thanks for reading..♡

♡ My Favourite Beauty Brands/Products 2015! ♡

Aviary Photo_130957977178515428

Hello everybody! I cannot believe that it is only a couple of days until the new year it is crazy! For todays post I decided to do a roundup of beauty products that I have been loving this year, some of them are new discoveries and some are ones I have loved for a long time but I am sure that I will continue to love and use them all in the upcoming new year.

  • Makeup revolution: I discovered this brand for the first time this year and it was love at first sight! All of their products are such high quality at an affordable price, the eye shadow palettes are highly pigmented and the packaging is always really nice.
  • Real Techniques: I had heard about this brand a lot but it wasn’t until a couple of months ago that I decided to buy some makeup brushes by them. I bought the Core collection kit and when I tried the brushes I quickly regretted not trying them sooner. They are amazing- so soft and they apply makeup flawlessly.
  • Rimmel: Rimmel are a brand that I have loved for a long time, but I decided to include them in this post because I have found myself using quite a few Rimmel products this year. I have used and loved the Kate lipsticks, good to glow highlighter and a more recent favourite.. the brow this way eyebrow gel.

  • Garnier Micellar water: I love, love, love this stuff! After using it my skin just feels so clean and refreshed. Not only that but it removes makeup that I didn’t realise was still on my skin. For example, I would use a makeup wipe to remove makeup and then use the Micellar water and the makeup would still be coming off my skin and onto the cotton pad.
  • ProVoke touch of silver shampoo: I have been using this product a lot this year as I have mostly been blonde apart from a brief period when I decided I wanted a change in colour. This product works wonders on my hair and gets rid of any unwanted brassy tones from the first wash which I think is amazing!
  • Soap and glory: This was another product that I tried for the first time this year. It all started when I tried a sample size of ‘The scrub of your life’ and I instantly fell in love with the smell and with the quality of the product. I went into boots and bought clean on me, hand food and heel genius. I loved all of them especially hand food, I always use it as my hands tend to get pretty dry, especially in winter.

I have discovered so many new beauty favourites in 2015 and I cant wait to discover more in the new year!

My Christmas Presents!

Hello everybody! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I spent the day at home with my family and it was really nice. Christmas is my favourite time of the year as we all spend it together and play games, watch films and eat Christmas dinner… yum!

I didn’t post yesterday because I spent boxing day with my family so I decided to post today instead. I received so many lovely gifts, all things that I love (my family know me so well) So I thought I would write this post and share with you some of the gifts I received because I love reading posts like this and it also gave me an excuse to sit and gaze at my new things while taking the pictures haha..

The first thing that I received was this rose gold watch, my boyfriend got me this and I love it so much, he knows me so well! It is adjustable too which is perfect for me as my wrists are tiny.

I received loads of make up items too which I am very excited to use! Items included in this picture are: W7 in the buff palette, Sleek storm palette, Makeup Revolution blush palette golden sugar, MUA highlighter, Maybelline lash sensational mascara, Makeup revolution Iconic 3 palette and the Zoella blissful mistful perfume that I have wanted for ages!

I tried soap and glory products for the first time this year, and I have since fell in love with them as they are such good quality and smell amazing. For Christmas I got ‘The Whole She Bang’ gift set.

This gift set is gorgeous and such great value for money, I asked for it when I found out about it being on special offer in boots for £30 (usually £60) I can not wait to use this set as there are a few products in here that I have not tried before. The bag it came in is also gorgeous and perfect for storing the products in. J will do a full post on this soon once I have tried everything.

Since finding out that Ariana Grande released her perfume I really wanted to try it, when I tried a sample in boots I fell in love with the smell of it and so I put it on my Christmas list. I received this gorgeous gift set from my boyfriend and his mum, it honestly smells amazing.. and the bottle is so pretty. It also came with a smaller bottle that I could maybe carry in my bag and a fluffy white pom pom keyring which I can add to my collection as I also have a pink and a cream one of these- they are so cute!

I also received 2 books: #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso which I have been wanting to read for ages, I have already started reading it and so far so good! The other book I got was It by Alexa Chung which I can not wait to read.

I also got some other things like fairy lights, face masks, a handbag, candles and pyjamas. I received so many lovely presents, and I am so pleased with them all. I know that it is not just about presents but I am grateful for all the things I received.

❄ Christmas Eve Routine! ❄

Hello everybody! I hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas eve. This post is scheduled as today I am spending time with my family and enjoying Christmas eve.

I love Christmas eve so much, even now I always feel so excited and I still get that magical feeling I got when I was younger. There is just something about Christmas that makes me feel all warm and cozy inside! I don’t really have a set routine but these are some things that I love to do every year.

In a morning I go on a walk with my family, we take our dog patch out for a walk on the park, she loves running and playing football so we all do that for a while. My favourite thing about Christmas is spending time with family!

When we get home I like to get a shower and then have a little pamper session. I paint my nails all nice and Christmassy, I also like to put on a face mask and hair mask just so I feel all nice and pampered on Christmas day. After getting out of the shower I pop on some Christmas pyjamas and use my trusty heel genius and then put on some Christmas socks…

How cute are these socks?! I got them from Primark last year.

For dinner I would like to say I cook a big meal but in actual fact we usually order a takeaway as a treat! Later on in the evening, we all put out each others Christmas presents in the living room so that they are all ready for Christmas. After this we always watch a film, this year we have picked ‘A Christmas horror story’ which is probably not very Christmassy but I love a good horror!

So that is it really, I never do much on Christmas eve apart from spending time with my family because that is what I enjoy most. I love the fact that Christmas eve for me is a laid back and cozy day at home.

Merry Christmas everyone I hope you all have a wonderful day!
