Its been a while, but I really have missed blogging! To get back into things I thought Id do a post about a few things I’ve been into lately and some things that have inspired me.
One of the reasons I haven’t blogged recently is that I haven’t felt that inspired, I didn’t know what I wanted to blog about. While at work the other day I was having a little moan about how I missed blogging and how I never had ‘time’ to do it anymore. My manager gave me the little push I needed and said if I really want to do it then I will make time and that is very true! So I have decided I’m going to put some time aside and start blogging again.
✮Makeup- I have been playing around with different makeup looks recently, trying to step out of my comfort zone and use more colour so when the black Friday deals were on a couple of weeks ago I purchased the Urban Decay electric palette while it was 30% off at Debenhams. I had wanted this palette for so long, the colours in it are beautiful. The third picture above is a look created with the palette by ‘@sssamanthaa’ on Instagram. I love this look and I cant wait to try it out on myself.
✮Writing- After reading about them and putting it off for so long because I didn’t really know where to start.. I finally started a bullet journal! Hopefully this will help me to be more organized with blogging too.
✮Fashion- I am loving the big glasses trend at the moment, the bottom right picture is me wearing some I purchased from Primark the other day. I absolutely love them! I think the gold frame makes them look really pretty too.
✮Reading- I recently re read my favourite inspirational book- Sophia Amoruso’s #Girlboss This book always inspires me to keep going and push to work and achieve my dreams.
✮Quote- ‘Go the extra mile, its never crowded’ I love this quote, if you really want to do something, try harder- go the extra mile and you will achieve your goal. Recently I have been making more time in a morning to do different makeup looks and post on my Instagram. By doing this I’ve been getting more practice with my makeup and getting pictures to keep track of my progress.
While on a shopping in Barnsley (a town near where I live) I popped into boots and spotted an NYX counter! I don’t have one where I live so I was sooo excited when I spotted it! Something I have been wanting to try by NYX for ages is their soft matte lip creams because I have heard so much about them. I had to stop myself from buying the entire counter haha so in the end I picked up these 2 items: The soft matte lip cream in the shade 06 Instanbul and the retractable lip liner in the shade soft pink.
Retractable lip liner (soft pink)- I am not a massive fan of retractable lip liners just because I feel like they don’t last as long as pencil liners but since I loved the colour of this I got it anyway. I love this lip liner because it is quite soft, when you apply this it glides on the lips and doesn’t drag. The formula is really good and doesn’t smudge when its on.
Soft matte lip cream (Istanbul)- I am in love with the shade of this lipstick! Its like a pinky nude shade and perfect to pair with neutral makeup looks. I like the formula of this because its not too drying and it doesn’t crack once it dries which is a problem I have with some matte liquid lipsticks. This is more like a cream as the name suggests, which I love.
Those are the swatches of the lip liner and matte lip cream! The lip cream isn’t quite that dark in person its slightly lighter but its soooo nice I love it!
These are the first products I have tried by NYX and I am very impressed. Both products stayed on really well and are really good quality for an affordable price at £5.50 each.
Have you ever tried any products by NYX? If you have any reccomendations please make sure to let me know in the comments below!
Hello everybody! Its been a while.. I know. I have been so busy with work and things that I’ve just not had time to blog but I have missed it so much! While reading through some of my old blog posts I finally deciced it was time to start blogging again.
So many things have happened recently.. My best friend finally moved back to where I live and now I can see her all of the time again.. yay! I started a new job at Models own working with the things I love most..makeup and nails.. I love it so much and we have just realised a brand new makeup range which I am really excited about.
For todays post I decided to share my new makeup storage because my makeup collection has grown so much over these past few months and it really needed organising so I bought some drawers and some acrylic drawers to go on the top. I’m so happy I decided to sort it out properly and now I have an excuse to buy more makeup!
So first of all I have the little acrylic drawers, in the top compartment I keep all of my favourite nail varnishes and lipsticks and then in the drawers I have some other lip products, lipsticks, glosses and my beloved MUA lip laquers.
Then I have my big drawers; the first drawer is for all of my face products. Highlighters, foundations, contour palettes etc. I recently got a highlighter called ‘rainbeau’ which is a gorgeous rainbow highlighter.
The second drawer is filled with my eyeshadow palettes and my new eyebrow palette from models own which is literally AMAZING! Its just like benefits ‘brow zings’ you get a highlight for your brow bone, wax and a powder for filling in your brows. I have collected so many eyeshadow palettes recently aswell, my favourite at the moment is makeup revolutions new-turals vs neuturals palette!
This next drawer I just use for miscellaneous items like these.. the coloured mascara wands are from models own. They have a new mascara out where you can pick whichever wand you want to go with it depending on what look you want to go for!
Lastly I have the drawer where I keep all of my skincare items, my skin has been quite bad recently and so I decided to try the lush ultrabland facial cleanser and I have been loving it so far. My skin feels nice and fresh after using it and it has toned down some of my spots.
I am in love with my new storage and I’m so glad it is finally all organized.
Over the next few days I am going to organize a new blogging schedule and try to stick to it because I definitely want to get back into blogging, I’ve missed it so much!
How do you store your makeup? Or what would be your dream makeup storage?
Hello everyone! Today I am going to be reviewing this pretty little palette. Ever since Collection brought out their ‘Eyes uncovered’ Palettes I have been loving them. The only one I don’t have is the ‘Nude Grey’ palette but that is only because the colours just aren’t for me. While shopping in Superdrug this week I spotted this: The nude rose palette! I have never picked up something so quickly in my life.. its like this palette was made for me. I love rose/rose gold eye shadow shades.
This palette contains 6 stunning shimmery shades which can be combined to create the perfect nude rose eye makeup look.
Unfortunately the eye shadows don’t have names. The pigmentation of these eye shadows is brilliant quality, I think this palette is definitely my favourite out of the 3 that I own The dark shade at the end is also really pretty and it has little specks of pink coloured shimmer in it. They are such good value for money too at £3.99!
I cant wait to film a makeup video using this palette, I am so in love with all of the shades!
Have you tried this palette or any other Collection palettes? If so what did you think?
Hello everyone! Todays video is a spring makeup look.. after a short break from doing Makeup videos I am so happy to be doing them again! I am so excited that spring is here, I love doing spring and summer makeup looks!
I didn’t include how I did my eyebrows because I am going to do a separate video about them.
Here is the list of products I used:
✿Maybelline baby skin primer
✿Rimmel Match perfection foundation 001 light porcelain

✿Barry m get up and glow palette
✿Rimmel stay matte pressed powder
✿Rimmel brow this way

I bought the Barry M get up and glow palette recently and I love it, I will definitely be doing a review on it soon.
I hope you all enjoyed this video, if you have any makeup looks you would like me to do please mention them in the comments below!
Today marks the last day of 2015 and so I have decided to set myself 6 goals for the new year. I am going to try my best with these goals and I have been feeling inspired while reading my new book #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso so I thought why not do a blog post about the goals I have set myself.
Work on my blog: I already work hard on my blog but in the upcoming new year I would like to improve my blog and content and also grow my blog.
Work on my Youtube videos: I am really enjoying my new Youtube channel and I am looking forward to improving my videos and learning more about editing and things like that along the way. I am also setting myself a goal to save up for a proper camera to use to shoot my videos with.
Read more often: Towards the end of this year I have started reading more and I would like to keep this up in the new year.
Exercise more: I go on walks with our dog most days but I would like to maybe start jogging or swimming more often.
Work on my makeup skills: I am really into makeup and beauty and I would really like to improve my skills, I have been really inspired by Carli Bybel and Racheal Leary’s Youtube channels and I would like to practice and learn more as both of their channels are amazing!
Drink more water: Yes I know it is bad but I really don’t drink enough water.
I am going to work really hard and try to stick with these goals and I am sure I will feel happy with myself for sticking with them. Have you set yourself any goals for the new year? Let me know in the comments below!
