Hello everybody! Its been a while.. I know. I have been so busy with work and things that I’ve just not had time to blog but I have missed it so much! While reading through some of my old blog posts I finally deciced it was time to start blogging again.
So many things have happened recently.. My best friend finally moved back to where I live and now I can see her all of the time again.. yay! I started a new job at Models own working with the things I love most..makeup and nails.. I love it so much and we have just realised a brand new makeup range which I am really excited about.
For todays post I decided to share my new makeup storage because my makeup collection has grown so much over these past few months and it really needed organising so I bought some drawers and some acrylic drawers to go on the top. I’m so happy I decided to sort it out properly and now I have an excuse to buy more makeup!
So first of all I have the little acrylic drawers, in the top compartment I keep all of my favourite nail varnishes and lipsticks and then in the drawers I have some other lip products, lipsticks, glosses and my beloved MUA lip laquers.
Then I have my big drawers; the first drawer is for all of my face products. Highlighters, foundations, contour palettes etc. I recently got a highlighter called ‘rainbeau’ which is a gorgeous rainbow highlighter.
The second drawer is filled with my eyeshadow palettes and my new eyebrow palette from models own which is literally AMAZING! Its just like benefits ‘brow zings’ you get a highlight for your brow bone, wax and a powder for filling in your brows. I have collected so many eyeshadow palettes recently aswell, my favourite at the moment is makeup revolutions new-turals vs neuturals palette!
This next drawer I just use for miscellaneous items like these.. the coloured mascara wands are from models own. They have a new mascara out where you can pick whichever wand you want to go with it depending on what look you want to go for!
Lastly I have the drawer where I keep all of my skincare items, my skin has been quite bad recently and so I decided to try the lush ultrabland facial cleanser and I have been loving it so far. My skin feels nice and fresh after using it and it has toned down some of my spots.
I am in love with my new storage and I’m so glad it is finally all organized.
Over the next few days I am going to organize a new blogging schedule and try to stick to it because I definitely want to get back into blogging, I’ve missed it so much!

I have to admit, I am a little bit rubbish at doing tags, usually I’m busy and I forget to do them!
I was inspired my Chanelle to do this post, She recently did a really great post on her blog which you can read here about her makeup storage. My makeup trolley has been in need of a tidy up for a while now and I finally got round to doing it, seeing Chanelle’s makeup all organized inspired me to organize mine better.
To store all of my makeup I use this little metal trolley that has 3 different compartments, on the other parts of it I use to store my skincare and hair products.
So that everything was organized I decided to give everything its own compartment; Makeup palettes and setting spray in the pink basket, eye products such as mascara, eyeliner and eyebrow pencils in one tin and then face products such as foundation, bronzer, concealer and primer in the other.
For lip products, the trolley has a handy little basket that hooks onto the front. It is perfect for storing my lip products such as lip glosses, lip balms and lipsticks. Although I might have to find somewhere else to store them soon as my lipsick/lipgloss/lipbalm collection is still evergrowing…
As you can see from the first picture my Real techniques makeup brushes slot in perfectly at the side of the pink basket which is a plus! I love how they come in those cases because they double as a brush stand.
I am really pleased with how this turned out, my makeup is much more organized now!
Hello everybody! I cannot believe that it is only a couple of days until the new year it is crazy! For todays post I decided to do a roundup of beauty products that I have been loving this year, some of them are new discoveries and some are ones I have loved for a long time but I am sure that I will continue to love and use them all in the upcoming new year.
Makeup revolution: I discovered this brand for the first time this year and it was love at first sight! All of their products are such high quality at an affordable price, the eye shadow palettes are highly pigmented and the packaging is always really nice.
Real Techniques: I had heard about this brand a lot but it wasn’t until a couple of months ago that I decided to buy some makeup brushes by them. I bought the Core collection kit and when I tried the brushes I quickly regretted not trying them sooner. They are amazing- so soft and they apply makeup flawlessly.
Rimmel: Rimmel are a brand that I have loved for a long time, but I decided to include them in this post because I have found myself using quite a few Rimmel products this year. I have used and loved the Kate lipsticks, good to glow highlighter and a more recent favourite.. the brow this way eyebrow gel.
Garnier Micellar water: I love, love, love this stuff! After using it my skin just feels so clean and refreshed. Not only that but it removes makeup that I didn’t realise was still on my skin. For example, I would use a makeup wipe to remove makeup and then use the Micellar water and the makeup would still be coming off my skin and onto the cotton pad.
ProVoke touch of silver shampoo: I have been using this product a lot this year as I have mostly been blonde apart from a brief period when I decided I wanted a change in colour. This product works wonders on my hair and gets rid of any unwanted brassy tones from the first wash which I think is amazing!
Soap and glory: This was another product that I tried for the first time this year. It all started when I tried a sample size of ‘The scrub of your life’ and I instantly fell in love with the smell and with the quality of the product. I went into boots and bought clean on me, hand food and heel genius. I loved all of them especially hand food, I always use it as my hands tend to get pretty dry, especially in winter.
I have discovered so many new beauty favourites in 2015 and I cant wait to discover more in the new year!
What beauty products have you been loving this year? Let me know in the comments below!
I know I have my new schedule of posting every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday but today I have made the exception to write this blog post about spreading positivity. I was inspired to write this post by Jemma, who runs the amazing blog, dorkface.
Jemma wrote a post called ‘Wanna be in my girl gang? The idea of this is that everyone who would like to join can put the girl gang badge on their blog using the html provided.
The rules are simple:

I think this is such an amazing idea and I just wanted to share this with you all encase any of you would like to join. I am so proud to be a part of the blogging community and it makes me so happy to see everyone being so positive and friendly. When I first started blogging I had no idea that I would make so many friends and really just what an amazing and positive place the blogging world is.
The link to Jemma’s post explaining all the details about the girl gang is here:
There were 2 things that drew me to this months issue of Elle magazine; Alexa Chung was on the cover and there was a free Benefit ‘They’re Real’ Tinted eyelash primer to try out before it hits the stores! Alexa looked amazing (as always!) on the cover and in the photo-shoot inside.
I was eager to try the primer because it is the first product I have ever tried by benefit, despite hearing many brilliant reviews about their products such as Porefessional face primer balm and ‘They’re real’ Mascara.
So on the box it says:
Works 2 ways!
Wear as a mascara primer to dramatically boost length & separation.
Wear alone to tint & define lashes for a feathery, natural look.
When I first looked at the brush of the primer I was a little worried as the brush did look a little longer than ones I am used to using, but it actually worked really well and covered all of my lashes. This is an important thing for me as my eyelashes are naturally blonde (ugh) and I need full coverage so that I don’t have any blonde eyelashes showing.
I have fallen in love with this and I would say you can definitely wear it on its own like the box says for a natural daytime look, it made my eyelashes look way longer but still natural looking. The colour is called ‘Mink-brown’ I really like the colour of it as I think it suits my colouring quite well. This was what my eyelashes looked like after using one coat of the eyelash primer:
I apologize for the bad lighting I took this at night and I didn’t want to use flash and blind myself haha! But as you can tell in this picture, using the primer alone made my eyelashes look lovely and long!
For this next picture I used the Rimmel Supercurl mascara over it for a thicker, more dramatic look:
I really noticed the difference using the eyelash primer under my usual mascara, it separated my lashes and made them look longer and more defined. Overall I am really impressed with the product and I definitely want to purchase this in the future, also after using this I definitely want to try the ‘They’re real’ mascara.
Have you tried Benefits new eyelash primer? What did you think of it?
