While on a shopping in Barnsley (a town near where I live) I popped into boots and spotted an NYX counter! I don’t have one where I live so I was sooo excited when I spotted it! Something I have been wanting to try by NYX for ages is their soft matte lip creams because I have heard so much about them. I had to stop myself from buying the entire counter haha so in the end I picked up these 2 items: The soft matte lip cream in the shade 06 Instanbul and the retractable lip liner in the shade soft pink.
Retractable lip liner (soft pink)- I am not a massive fan of retractable lip liners just because I feel like they don’t last as long as pencil liners but since I loved the colour of this I got it anyway. I love this lip liner because it is quite soft, when you apply this it glides on the lips and doesn’t drag. The formula is really good and doesn’t smudge when its on.
Soft matte lip cream (Istanbul)- I am in love with the shade of this lipstick! Its like a pinky nude shade and perfect to pair with neutral makeup looks. I like the formula of this because its not too drying and it doesn’t crack once it dries which is a problem I have with some matte liquid lipsticks. This is more like a cream as the name suggests, which I love.
Those are the swatches of the lip liner and matte lip cream! The lip cream isn’t quite that dark in person its slightly lighter but its soooo nice I love it!
These are the first products I have tried by NYX and I am very impressed. Both products stayed on really well and are really good quality for an affordable price at £5.50 each.
Have you ever tried any products by NYX? If you have any reccomendations please make sure to let me know in the comments below!

Onto the questions..
1. Who is your biggest inspiration in life?
My partner, Lucas
2. How does that person inspire you?
He inspires me because he always seems to find the good in every situation and he always makes me feel so good about myself. He is so kind and never fails to make me smile.
3. If you could give one piece of advice to another blogger in your field, what would it be?
Write about things that you love, things that you are passionate about. Don’t just write about things because everyone else is writing about them, just do your thing!
4. What advice would you give to someone looking to start a blog?
Go for it! I started my blog in August and I haven’t looked back since, I love it! Also I recommend to join in with the twitter chats and just engage with other bloggers in general, the blogging community is amazing.
5. Why did you start your blog?
I had wanted to start one for a while but I was to nervous about what people would think and I didn’t know where to start! But one day in August I finally took the leap and made my blog here on WordPress.
6. Where do you find that most support for your blog comes from? (Family, other bloggers etc)
My family know about my blog and are supportive of it but I also get support from other bloggers! They are all so lovely and leave nice comments and also my blogging friends are always there to give advice on my blog if I need it.
So those are my questions, I have loved doing this tag and remember to check the @soppysundays twitter for more information on how you can join in!
What an odd title! But when it came to thinking about what I got up to this week, that is literally what came to mind. I had my second ever driving lesson this week, and if I’m honest I may quite literally be the worst driver ever.
So lets rewind to the start of this week, Monday. My driving lesson was at 12:30. I woke up feeling positive, gave myself a little pep talk *you can do this!* *you will be way better than you were last week!* *You wont be as nervous* Despite all of that, no matter how many times I tried to tell myself I wasn’t nervous, I really was. In fact I was so nervous and anxious I gave myself the worst headache which made things even worse! When my lesson started we went to a quiet road near where I live but I was too worried about other cars and way to panicky so we had to go somewhere else where there was hardly any other cars. I did start to feel a little better when we got there, I felt more relaxed and I was able to focus on driving rather than worrying about other cars. For some reason though I cant drive in a straight line? Does that even make sense?! I kept driving towards the kerb haha instead of just driving straight.. I think its definitely going to take me a while to get used to driving before I feel confident.
I think the main thing with me is that I worry way too much, when I was driving I’d got myself so worked up that my headache was even worse and it literally felt like my eyes were going to pop out!
Anyway crashing driving aside, I had a pretty good week! I haven’t really done much to be honest but I’ve just been in a really good mood! I have been really focusing on my blog and I am loving the fact that I have also started to do lifestyle posts as well as fashion and beauty. I have taken more time aside this week to focus on me, having little pamper sessions which always improve my mood 100% I definitely need to keep doing this because I feel so much better and I feel like I have a better day when I feel good about myself, I’m sure you guys can relate to that.
I have been obsessed with peach coloured hair, I think that might be the next colour I will go after this lilac has faded from my hair. I’m thinking of using Bleach London’s ‘awkward peach’ because it looks like such a gorgeous shade! Ooh and I have 400 points on my boots card so I’m not far off getting it for free! 😉
I feel like this post is just me sharing loads of random things about my week/thoughts/whats been going on with me but it feels good to share these things in a post.. I hope you guys don’t mind! This week I feel like luck has really been on my side I really hope that didn’t sound cheesy I went shopping on Wednesday for some birthday presents for my boyfriends mum and while shopping in boots I spotted Soap and Glorys ‘Bad day box’ for £4!! Which includes the full size ahem FULL SIZE ‘butter yourself’ body butter, a mini ‘pulp friction’ body scrub and a mini ‘foam call’ shower gel. I was so happy because Ive never tried any of these and I got them all for £4! Also I made my first two sales on Etsy this week which made me so happy!
Overall I have had an amazing week despite being RUBBISH at driving but I know I will get better with time.
I have been wanting to join in with the twitter chats for a while now, before this week I had only ever joined in with the #bblogggers chat on twitter once, not because I didn’t want to join in with the chats but because I didn’t know when they were or I would forget and then miss them!
This Week I have joined in with the #bbloggers chat, fbloggers chat, #bdib chat and #crazy bloggers chat and I have had so much fun! Twitter chats are a great way to meet new bloggers and find new blogs. Because I didn’t know when all of the twitter chats were I started by googling ‘twitter chats for bloggers’ and I found a blog post written by Becky who I have met through twitter, she also hosts the #fbloggers chat. I found the post really useful because Becky had listed all of the twitter chats that are on Monday-Sunday and what times they are on at. I screenshotted them on my phone so that I wouldn’t forget and it really worked! You can find Becky’s post here.
I have loved joining in with the twitter chats and its great to meet other bloggers and check out their blogs, I especially love how there are different topics every week. For example in the #fbloggers chat this week the topic was about storage with questions like ‘How do you store your clothes? Do you have a special system?’ It was really good to join in and see other peoples answers, I got a few tips on storage ideas and now I have been inspired to get rid of my old shabby wardrobes and invest in some clothes rails! They will look so much better.
Because I am so unorganized with the chats I received some great advice from Hannah who runs the blog hannahlouiseblogs.wordpress.com to put them on my phone calendar/write them in my diary to remind me of when the twitter chats are! I have done this and I find it way more useful!
Overall I have loved joining in with all of the twitter chats and I am so happy with how welcoming everyone was. The blogging community is such a positive and happy place! Have you ever joined in with any of the twitter chats?
First of all I am sorry that this weeks video is a little late, I had a little problem with uploading and then had to alter the video but not to worry! This weeks video is an OOTD which I realised is actually my first one on Youtube!
I went for a comfy casual look because we spent the day walking with our dog, but where we went just seemed like the perfect place to film a video and the weather was so nice. I really enjoy making fashion videos and there will definitely be more to come soon! I think my main focus is going to be on the fashion/lifestyle side of things in my Youtube videos because that is what I enjoy doing the most. I hope you all enjoy the video and don’t forget to like and subscribe!
I have been so inspired by the brand ‘The Ragged Priest’ recently, I just love all of the pieces in their collection. I made a mood board with some of the pieces from their shop that I have been loving.
The jeans are hand painted which I think is amazing and they are super cute too! I am in love with these and I have been looking for some mom jeans for ages, unfortunately I can not afford to pay £95 *cries*
The next picture is just wow! I love both the top and skirt they are amazing. Sometimes when I go clothes shopping I have no idea what I am looking for but I feel like when I go onto the Ragged Priest website I just want everything!
The bow crop top is actually listed as ‘bow tits top’ but I didn’t call it that above as that wouldn’t be very lady like of me hahaha… I really like this one but its not something I would wear myself because I just know by looking at it that it wouldn’t suit me, but I just had to add it in anyway because I really like it!
*TIP* If you are ever so slightly skint like me but also love expensive brands like the ragged priest or others, search them on depop, I found this recently and I am addicted! YOURE WELCOME!
Do you like the Ragged Priest? Which pieces have you been loving recently?
This is a question I ask myself a lot and I am still not sure,I feel bad that I don’t know but I’m still trying to figure it out. I recently came across this video on how to find your dream career, something that you are really passionate about and actually enjoy doing. In the video there were 5 questions to answer that could give you a better idea of what you would like to do, or at least give you an idea of what kind of career it would be wether it be something creative, fashion, maybe even building your own business!
I decided to share these five questions in this blog post because I found them really helpful:
1.What was your childhood dream career?
2. When do you lose track of time?
3. What would you never do again no matter how much money you’d get paid?
4. Name 3 people who are doing what you want to do.
5. What’s your message to the world?
My answers to these questions:
I always wanted to be an author, I loved to write and I still do now.
When I am blogging, reading other blogs, reading books and sewing.
Sitting in an office all day doing admin work or anything like that. I had a job like that once and it just wasn’t for me.
Zoella, Mika Francis, Sophia Amaruso- I have always wanted to start my own business!
Work hard, dream big!
I know my dream career is definitely something that involves writing, something creative because those are just the things that I enjoy most. My favourite subjects at school were always art and English so that just says it all. It would be amazing if I could be a professional blogger , blogging is perfect for me because it connects my creative side and the side of me that loves to write.
I haven’t quite got everything figured out yet and that is okay, because I at least know the things that I enjoy doing the most, so I can focus on careers in that field. I would love to see all of your answers to the questions so make sure to post them in the comments below!
What would your dream career be, or do you already have your dream career?
