✮ Recent Inspirations ✮

Its been a while, but I really have missed blogging! To get back into things I thought Id do a post about a few things I’ve been into lately and some things that have inspired me.

One of the reasons I haven’t blogged recently is that I haven’t felt that inspired, I didn’t know what I wanted to blog about. While at work the other day I was having a little moan about how I missed blogging and how I never had ‘time’ to do it anymore. My manager gave me the little push I needed and said if I really want to do it then I will make time and that is very true! So I have decided I’m going to put some time aside and start blogging again.

✮Makeup- I have been playing around with different makeup looks recently, trying to step out of my comfort zone and use more colour so when the black Friday deals were on a couple of weeks ago I purchased the Urban Decay electric palette while it was 30% off at Debenhams. I had wanted this palette for so long, the colours in it are beautiful. The third picture above is a look created with the palette by ‘@sssamanthaa’ on Instagram. I love this look and I cant wait to try it out on myself.

✮Writing- After reading about them and putting it off for so long because I didn’t really know where to start.. I finally started a bullet journal! Hopefully this will help me to be more organized with blogging too.

✮Fashion- I am loving the big glasses trend at the moment, the bottom right picture is me wearing some I purchased from Primark the other day. I absolutely love them! I think the gold frame makes them look really pretty too.

✮Reading- I recently re read my favourite inspirational book- Sophia Amoruso’s #Girlboss This book always inspires me to keep going and push to work and achieve my dreams.

✮Quote- ‘Go the extra mile, its never crowded’ I love this quote, if you really want to do something, try harder- go the extra mile and you will achieve your goal. Recently I have been making more time in a morning to do different makeup looks and post on my Instagram. By doing this I’ve been getting more practice with my makeup and getting pictures to keep track of my progress.

What things have been inspiring you lately?

My Christmas Presents!

Hello everybody! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I spent the day at home with my family and it was really nice. Christmas is my favourite time of the year as we all spend it together and play games, watch films and eat Christmas dinner… yum!

I didn’t post yesterday because I spent boxing day with my family so I decided to post today instead. I received so many lovely gifts, all things that I love (my family know me so well) So I thought I would write this post and share with you some of the gifts I received because I love reading posts like this and it also gave me an excuse to sit and gaze at my new things while taking the pictures haha..

The first thing that I received was this rose gold watch, my boyfriend got me this and I love it so much, he knows me so well! It is adjustable too which is perfect for me as my wrists are tiny.

I received loads of make up items too which I am very excited to use! Items included in this picture are: W7 in the buff palette, Sleek storm palette, Makeup Revolution blush palette golden sugar, MUA highlighter, Maybelline lash sensational mascara, Makeup revolution Iconic 3 palette and the Zoella blissful mistful perfume that I have wanted for ages!

I tried soap and glory products for the first time this year, and I have since fell in love with them as they are such good quality and smell amazing. For Christmas I got ‘The Whole She Bang’ gift set.

This gift set is gorgeous and such great value for money, I asked for it when I found out about it being on special offer in boots for £30 (usually £60) I can not wait to use this set as there are a few products in here that I have not tried before. The bag it came in is also gorgeous and perfect for storing the products in. J will do a full post on this soon once I have tried everything.

Since finding out that Ariana Grande released her perfume I really wanted to try it, when I tried a sample in boots I fell in love with the smell of it and so I put it on my Christmas list. I received this gorgeous gift set from my boyfriend and his mum, it honestly smells amazing.. and the bottle is so pretty. It also came with a smaller bottle that I could maybe carry in my bag and a fluffy white pom pom keyring which I can add to my collection as I also have a pink and a cream one of these- they are so cute!

I also received 2 books: #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso which I have been wanting to read for ages, I have already started reading it and so far so good! The other book I got was It by Alexa Chung which I can not wait to read.

I also got some other things like fairy lights, face masks, a handbag, candles and pyjamas. I received so many lovely presents, and I am so pleased with them all. I know that it is not just about presents but I am grateful for all the things I received.

Hello everybody! I am so excited for Christmas and I have seen so many people doing this tag so I decided to join in! Christmas is definitely my favourite holiday, even though I’m older now I still get that magical feeling on Christmas eve!

So now onto the questions:

  1. What is your favourite Christmas movie? I would have to say Elf! I just love it so much, even though I watch it every year I never seem to get tired of it.
  2. Do you open your presents on Christmas eve or Christmas morning? Christmas morning! Well, half Christmas morning and then the other half after dinner.
  3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory? I cant think of a specific favourite memory but I just remember how I was always so excited when I was younger and I would wake up so early in the morning to check if santa had been!
  4. Favourite festive food? Pigs in blankets!
  5. Favourite Christmas gift? Obviously I love all gifts that I receive, but I always get a box of Lindor of my boyfriend and that is special because its a little tradition that we have.
  6. Favourite Christmas scent? I really love the smell of mince pies when they are baking in the oven although I don’t actually like the taste of them haha!
  7. Do you have any Christmas eve traditions? Yes I do, but I will be doing a post on these on Thursday. It will be a scheduled one though as I will be spending time with my family on Christmas eve.
  8. What tops your Christmas tree? A star!
  9. As a kid what was the one crazy extravagant gift you always asked for but never received? I cant remember, I just know I always used to get so many things and I was always so excited!
  10. What is the best part of Christmas for you? Definitely spending time with family. On Christmas day we always watch a Christmas film together aswell which I always enjoy.

♡ Beauty Stocking Filler Ideas! ♡

I don’t know about you, but I really love cute stocking fillers! I love shopping for Christmas presents, especially beauty related ones. So that is why I will be doing a post including some ideas for beauty stocking fillers. If you still have some Christmas shopping left to do then this post may give you a few ideas!

Soap and glory is a brand that I am sure will be on many peoples Christmas list as it is loved by so many people, I think ‘hand food’ and ‘heel genius’ are the perfect products to buy as a gift, you could pair hand food with a cute little manicure set and heel genius with a pedicure set and some fluffy socks. Soap and glory also have many Christmas sets of their products, which would also make a great gift for anyone who loves bath and body products.

I think that perfumes and body sprays are also cute stocking fillers, I recently bought this perfume from H&M for myself and I loved it so much that I decided to buy another as a gift. The bow on this is so cute and the perfume was only £1.99! It also smells amazing.

The Nspa body butters smell amazing and there are so many different scents to choose from. They also do body sprays and shower gels that would also be a good stocking filler idea!

For anyone that likes false eyelashes, these make the perfect gift, at £1 the Primark false eyelashes are super affordable and they are good quality too! You could buy a few different ones as there are different styles of these including dramatic, natural and sultry.

The last stocking filler idea is a hand lotion I picked up from Superdrug, they have an amazing Christmas range. I think the packaging of this is lovely and it makes a nice little present.

I hope you liked this post and it maybe gave you a few ideas for a few last minute stocking fillers.

Thanks for reading!

❄Christmas Themed Snapshots!❄

Its fair to say that I am definitely feeling the Christmas spirit! Today is the 17th of December and this time next week it will be Christmas eve *eeeek*

I wanted to share with you all how excited I am for Christmas by sharing some Christmas pictures I have taken over these past couple of weeks. I am proud to say that I have finally sorted out everyone’s Christmas presents which makes me very happy because now I can enjoy wrapping them (Yes I really do love wrapping presents)

The first picture stars my gorgeous little puppy Patch in her cute little Christmas hat! I got this for her a couple of years ago and I love it. While shopping a few days ago I spotted a cute Christmas dress for dogs but they only had smaller sizes available 😦 She looks adorable in this hat though!

Next was a picture I took of some presents I wrapped, I love the pink paper most, the blue ones are for my partner who’s presents I unfortunately cant wrap in girly paper. I have got Patch some presents too of course my favourite one being this cute little fluffy blanket from Superdrug, she actually opens her presents if you rip a little bit of the paper for her haha! I have also got her some squeaky toys as she loves them.

The next picture I took was of a snowflake garland I made out of white paper and gold ribbon. I really loved how this turned out so we decided to hang it up in the living room.

Last is a pretty gift box that contains my Ma’s Christmas present, a thumb ring. I love this little gift box I think it is so nice, especially the bow.

I hope you are all enjoying December and getting into the Christmas spirit! From now until Christmas you will find me dancing around and singing to Christmas songs!

What are your favourite things about Christmas?

♡ Superdrug Coconut oil review! ♡

I recently discovered that Superdrug do their own brand of Coconut oil! I have been wanting to try out Coconut oil as a conditioning treatment on my hair for a while now so I was really pleased when I found this. It was £2.49 for a 125ml pot which I think is really reasonable.

Coconut oil is solid at room temperature so I had to melt it to apply it too my hair. I filled a bowl with warm water and then placed the tub into the water to melt it.

I rinsed my hair with water before applying the oil. When the oil had melted I applied it evenly all over my hair and gently combed it through to make sure it had fully covered my hair. I wrapped my hair up with an old T-shirt and left the oil on for about 3 hours. You don’t have to leave it on for that long, 20-30 minutes is fine too, I just like to leave it on for longer.

The only thing that I did notice was that the oil went down quite quickly when I used it and I only have short hair, but for the price I am not complaining!

After 3 hours I rinsed my hair thoroughly to make sure the oil came out of my hair properly, I then shampooed and conditioned my hair as normal. I noticed instantly that my hair felt soft and silky, also as it was drying it looked super shiny! The oil smells amazing and the smell lingered on my hair which is always a plus for me.

As I have had my hair bleached it can sometims feel a little dry, so that is why I like to use conditioning masks. I am really pleased with this product and I think it will be replacing my conditioning masks as it did the job perfectly! My hair still feels soft and shiny 3 days later!

Coconut oil can also be used for your skin, you just take a small amount of it while its solid and it starts to melt as it comes into contact with your skin, then you massage it in.

I love this product and I will definitely be buying it again and using it as my weekly conditioning treatment. You can buy it at Superdrug here and it is also available in a 500ml tub!

Have you tried using coconut oil as part of your beauty routine?
