♡ Lush Halloween 2016 ♡

Hello everybody! Since getting into using lush products I have been ridiculously excited for the launch of this years Halloween products. So on the day they launched I popped into my local lush to pick up a couple of the products, I want to try all of them so I will go back and pick a couple more next week but these are the first two that I chose. Lord of Misrule and Sparkly Pumpkin! I have never tried any of the Lush seasonal products before so I was really excited!

When I went into Lush I spoke to a lovely member of staff that showed me all of the Halloween collection as it was my first time trying them and I liked the things she told me about Lord of Misrule, it is good for aching muscles and it also has popping candy in it! At first I thought it might be a little boring with it just being green but then they did a demo in the shop and I was surprised to see it has red in it as well which makes it look so pretty in the bath!

This is what Lord of Misrule looked like in the bath! The colours are so pretty and the smell is absolutely amazing, I think I will have to pick up some of the shower gel next time. Another thing I loved about this bath bomb was that it turned my bath water red! When I got out of the bath my skin felt so soft which I loved!

I haven’t used my sparkly pumpkin bubble bar yet but it smells soooo nice! Overall I am so pleased with this years Lush Halloween products, I cant wait until Friday when all of the Christmas products come out! I will definitely be stocking up on some snow fairy shower gel!

NYX Lip liner and Soft Matte Lip Cream Review!

While on a shopping in Barnsley (a town near where I live) I popped into boots and spotted an NYX counter! I don’t have one where I live so I was sooo excited when I spotted it! Something I have been wanting to try by NYX for ages is their soft matte lip creams because I have heard so much about them. I had to stop myself from buying the entire counter haha so in the end I picked up these 2 items: The soft matte lip cream in the shade 06 Instanbul and the retractable lip liner in the shade soft pink.

Retractable lip liner (soft pink)- I am not a massive fan of retractable lip liners just because I feel like they don’t last as long as pencil liners but since I loved the colour of this I got it anyway. I love this lip liner because it is quite soft, when you apply this it glides on the lips and doesn’t drag. The formula is really good and doesn’t smudge when its on.

Soft matte lip cream (Istanbul)- I am in love with the shade of this lipstick! Its like a pinky nude shade and perfect to pair with neutral makeup looks. I like the formula of this because its not too drying and it doesn’t crack once it dries which is a problem I have with some matte liquid lipsticks. This is more like a cream as the name suggests, which I love.

Those are the swatches of the lip liner and matte lip cream! The lip cream isn’t quite that dark in person its slightly lighter but its soooo nice I love it!

These are the first products I have tried by NYX and I am very impressed. Both products stayed on really well and are really good quality for an affordable price at £5.50 each.

Have you ever tried any products by NYX? If you have any reccomendations please make sure to let me know in the comments below!

A Big Hello! (& New Makeup Storage!)

Hello everybody! Its been a while.. I know. I have been so busy with work and things that I’ve just not had time to blog but I have missed it so much! While reading through some of my old blog posts I finally deciced it was time to start blogging again.

So many things have happened recently.. My best friend finally moved back to where I live and now I can see her all of the time again.. yay! I started a new job at Models own working with the things I love most..makeup and nails.. I love it so much and we have just realised a brand new makeup range which I am really excited about.

For todays post I decided to share my new makeup storage because my makeup collection has grown so much over these past few months and it really needed organising so I bought some drawers and some acrylic drawers to go on the top. I’m so happy I decided to sort it out properly and now I have an excuse to buy more makeup!

So first of all I have the little acrylic drawers, in the top compartment I keep all of my favourite nail varnishes and lipsticks and then in the drawers I have some other lip products, lipsticks, glosses and my beloved MUA lip laquers.

Then I have my big drawers; the first drawer is for all of my face products. Highlighters, foundations, contour palettes etc. I recently got a highlighter called ‘rainbeau’ which is a gorgeous rainbow highlighter.

The second drawer is filled with my eyeshadow palettes and my new eyebrow palette from models own which is literally AMAZING! Its just like benefits ‘brow zings’ you get a highlight for your brow bone, wax and a powder for filling in your brows. I have collected so many eyeshadow palettes recently aswell, my favourite at the moment is makeup revolutions new-turals vs neuturals palette!

This next drawer I just use for miscellaneous items like these.. the coloured mascara wands are from models own. They have a new mascara out where you can pick whichever wand you want to go with it depending on what look you want to go for!

Lastly I have the drawer where I keep all of my skincare items, my skin has been quite bad recently and so I decided to try the lush ultrabland facial cleanser and I have been loving it so far. My skin feels nice and fresh after using it and it has toned down some of my spots.

I am in love with my new storage and I’m so glad it is finally all organized.

Over the next few days I am going to organize a new blogging schedule and try to stick to it because I definitely want to get back into blogging, I’ve missed it so much!

How do you store your makeup? Or what would be your dream makeup storage?

Think Pink!

13014848_253779671635211_341458348_n.jpgHello everyone I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday! As you may be able to tell from the title, todays post is going to be about all things pink. I am so excited because today I am teaming up with Glossier to share some of my favourite pink things to celebrate the #glossierpink range! Glossier is a beauty company inspired by what girls need in real life. They are creating the new essentials: easy-to-use basics that form the backbone to your unique beauty routine. You can find their beauty products on their website here

I have always been a real girly girl, I just love anything in pink, handbags, lipstick, blush, anything!

Some of my favourite pink things include:

Nails/nail varnish: I must have about 50 different shades of pink nail varnish, I just love it! It’s my favourite colour to paint my nails and if I ever get them done at the salon I usually opt for pink then too!

Clothes: I actually don’t own many pink items of clothing but I do have the pink jumper in the picture above that I love. It’s so cozy!

Lipstick/lipgloss: I do love a bright pink lip, especially in the summer! It completes a makeup look and adds a girly feel.

Basically, I love anything pink! I have a pink fluffy charm for my handbag that is super cute! I bought my little dog a pink collar which she wears all the time, even a little pink coat for her for winter.. she looks so cute in it!

I have loved doing this collaboration with Glossier, especially getting to talk about all things pink! Don’t forget to check out their website and beauty range here for more information!

Are you a fan of pink? If so what are your favourite pink things?

✿ Soap And Glory Skincare ✿

12506598_200142390332273_1237749792_n.jpgHello everybody! As you are reading this I will be away with my Boyfriend until Friday, we have gone away for our anniversary for a few days. But I decided that while I am away I will set scheduled posts to go up, I cant decide whether that’s really sad or not but I didn’t want to leave my blog with no posts going up!

Anyway onto the post…

For Christmas I received ‘The whole shebang’ Gift set by Soap and Glory which included the ‘Peaches and clean’ Deep cleansing milk and a 50% off voucher for the’3in1 daily detox’ Vitamin C Facial wash. When I went into boots to get the facial wash it was on offer for £6 so with the voucher I got it for just £3!

✿Peaches and clean deep cleansing milk:

‘Purify your face and neck with a couple of pumps of peaches and clean, rinse well then massage on your moisturiser’

On the bottle it claims to ‘melt away makeup’ I usually remove my makeup with a makeup wipe before I use this just because that’s the way I like to do it. I did try it once without using a makeup wipe though to test if it does remove make up effectively, it did remove my makeup quite well but I find it didn’t remove my mascara very well as I was left with slight panda eyes after using it. Other than that though I do like this product and my skin does feel soft and cleansed afterwards.

✿ 3 in 1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash:

‘Squeeze a grape sized measure of this fabulous face soap and clarify onto damp skin, rub into a lather, then rinse’

I have been looking for a new facial wash for a while now so I was really excited about this one when I bought it. After using this facial wash my skin feels amazingly soft! I am really impressed, I love how refreshed my skin feels after using it. I also like how there are little beads inside of the facial wash that help to exfoliate.

On the whole I am really impressed with these products and they both have a place in my daily skincare routine. After using these I cant wait to try more of the Soap and glory skincare products!

Have you tried any products from the Soap and Glory skincare range? If so what did you think of them?

♡ Sleek Storm Palette Review ♡

Aviary Photo_130964006831378790.pngAviary Photo_130964011328117595.png

I have a confession to make… I have never tried any products from Sleek Makeup.. until now that is! For Christmas I received this gorgeous palette from my boyfriend, I picked it out of course. This palette features 12 gorgeous shades, 3 matte and 9 shimmery.

First of all I have to say that I am in love with the packaging of this palette, the box it came in is pretty but I also like the slim design of the palette itself, easy to hold and small enough to pop in your makeup bag.

I love the mixture of shades in this palette, a couple of the shades are different to what I would normally go for such as the blue and green but that is why I chose this palette because of the different shades. I need to step out of my comfort zone a little and start experimenting with different looks. Another thing I love about the mixture of shades is that there are so many different looks that can be created using them. They are all really pretty and highly pigmented:

I cant wait to start experimenting with this palette, I will be doing a video using this soon so make sure to look out for that!

Overall I am really happy with this palette and I cant wait to try out more Sleek products in the future. I like the look of their ‘Matte me’ Lipsticks so I think they might be the next products I will try!

What is your favourite product from Sleek makeup? Also if you have any recommendations of what I should try please let me know!

✿ Becoming A morning Person!✿

Aviary Photo_130963149022071404.png

Hello everybody! Todays post is about becoming a morning person, recently I have been getting into a bad routine of going to sleep late and on days off work, waking up late. I have been trying to get into the routine of going to sleep a little earlier and therefore waking up earlier, with the exception of a couple of days i.e new years day when I had been out the night before and woke up with a sore head… (oops) I have been doing well and so I thought I would write this post and if any of you are like me you might find these tips useful!

✿Try your best to go to sleep a little earlier:

The main reason why I usually sleep in is when I stay up late and usually if I stay up past a certain time, I cant get to sleep and just end up watching makeup videos on YouTube or TV which doesn’t help at all because then I stay up even later! So try and go to sleep earlier than you usually do, to try and relax I usually read a book, my current one being #girlboss which is amazing so far!

✿ Set loads of alarms:

Something I like to do is title my alarms as ‘GET UP DONT BE LAZY’ haha it might sound silly but it works for me. I set myself loads of alarms and I make sure I put my phone on my TV stand so that in order to turn off the alarm, I have to get out of bed. That way I am more likely to get up.

✿Stay in a routine:

I find that once I get into a routine its easier to get up in a morning, so yes staying in a routine definitely does help!

Aviary Photo_130963150423514212.png

✿If you’re cold and don’t want to get out of bed:

Grab a jumper/dressing gown/cozy socks and get up! One of my main excuses in winter is that its too cold to get out of bed, so now I always make sure to keep my dressing gown nearby in a morning to grab and wrap around me when I get up.

✿Listen to music:

The best thing to make me feel happy and wake me up a little in a morning is to listen to music! It always puts me in a good mood and it starts my day in the best possible way!

Aviary Photo_130963149681542087.png

✿ Hydrate:

Another goal I have set for myself is to drink more water and this definitely contributes towards feeling better in the mornings. Staying hydrated reduces fatigue and just makes you feel better in general so when you wake up grab yourself a glass of water in the morning to help you start the day.

✿Give yourself enough time to get ready:

If you have work, school or you are going out in a morning, get up early enough to give yourself time to get ready. I find that if I have enough time to get ready and I’m not in a rush then it always puts me in a better mood than when I don’t have time and I have to rush.

I am still getting into the routine of becoming a morning person but I am slowly getting there by following these tips.

Are you a morning person? If you have any tips to share then please feel free to share them in the comments below!
