NYX Lip liner and Soft Matte Lip Cream Review!

While on a shopping in Barnsley (a town near where I live) I popped into boots and spotted an NYX counter! I don’t have one where I live so I was sooo excited when I spotted it! Something I have been wanting to try by NYX for ages is their soft matte lip creams because I have heard so much about them. I had to stop myself from buying the entire counter haha so in the end I picked up these 2 items: The soft matte lip cream in the shade 06 Instanbul and the retractable lip liner in the shade soft pink.

Retractable lip liner (soft pink)- I am not a massive fan of retractable lip liners just because I feel like they don’t last as long as pencil liners but since I loved the colour of this I got it anyway. I love this lip liner because it is quite soft, when you apply this it glides on the lips and doesn’t drag. The formula is really good and doesn’t smudge when its on.

Soft matte lip cream (Istanbul)- I am in love with the shade of this lipstick! Its like a pinky nude shade and perfect to pair with neutral makeup looks. I like the formula of this because its not too drying and it doesn’t crack once it dries which is a problem I have with some matte liquid lipsticks. This is more like a cream as the name suggests, which I love.

Those are the swatches of the lip liner and matte lip cream! The lip cream isn’t quite that dark in person its slightly lighter but its soooo nice I love it!

These are the first products I have tried by NYX and I am very impressed. Both products stayed on really well and are really good quality for an affordable price at £5.50 each.

Have you ever tried any products by NYX? If you have any reccomendations please make sure to let me know in the comments below!

Pumpkin Carving!

Hello! Yesterday my partner and I spent the day carving these pumpkins, this is actually our 3rd Halloween together but the first time ever we have carved pumpkins together so we thought we would give it a go.

We both really enjoyed carving them, apart from us being a little competitive haha! Mine is the one with the guts coming out of its mouth, I had seen this one on pinterest and I just had to give it a go. I really liked the way it turned out and it was quite easy to do as I am not exactly a pro at this! And my partners was the other one, he is way better than me at it but I think they both turned out quite good!

After we carved pumpkins we watched the new horror film ‘the visit’ to get into the Halloween spirit, it was actually amazing! I have seen so many horror films but this one definitely is in my top 5 so I recommend it if you are looking for a good horror on Halloween.

I hope you all liked this post… which pumpkin is your favourite?

Happy Halloween!

This Week I’ve Been…

I seem to be making a habit of doing these posts on a Monday instead of a Sunday! My intention is to post them on a Sunday but I never have time and then end up doing them the next day. I am still trying to save up for when we go away but its so hard! I’m the worst person when it comes to saving up, I just love shopping too much!

I got a nice surprise this week, I got my new phone early! After having a Nokia Lumia for 2 years I got a new Samsung Galaxy A3! I love it because it is a Smartphone (My last one was a windows phone) The biggest mistake ever was getting a windows phone because I couldn’t get any good apps like Instagram and my camera didn’t have flash so it was rubbish! Now my new phone is perfect and I finally have Instagram, you can follow me here!

Because of saving up I haven’t really been going shopping apart from the weekly Asda shop, while I was there I picked up some bedding which was way to nice to leave behind, it was reduced to £8 in the sale!ff5

I also got this really cute pyjama set with dogs on! I’m obsessed with pyjamas and I already have too many but they are my weakness!

Also this week I hit 100 followers so thank you everyone for that! I was so pleased when I saw! I am really enjoying writing this blog and I am so glad I have finally got the hang of it!

Bye for now! Love,

Wearing ~ Wanting ~ Loving

These past couple of weeks I haven’t really been doing as much as I usually do aside from work and the odd shopping trip. I have been quite lazy actually- spending days off watching films and not really doing anything at all.

Anyway I thought I would share with you all some of the things I have been wearing, wanting and loving recently, I think I might make these posts a regular thing.

Wearing ~

I have been wearing these shoes a lot recently- I am in love with them!

They look so smart and are really comfy too! I got them from Primark for £10, I fell in love with them the minute I saw them, they’re just so nice!

I have also been wearing this lipstick a lot since I got it! Its in a darkish red shade and I love it so much.. I’ve only just really gotten into wearing lipsticks- especially darker shades like this. I love this colour and it is perfect for autumn!

Wanting ~

I have really been wanting one of these hats- A couple of times I have been really tempted to buy one but I know I wouldn’t ever wear it. I don’t think I suit hats at all, I really love this hat though!

I also like the look of these but I’m not sure weather to get them or not! What do you think?

Loving ~

Ebay! I have bought a couple of things from Ebay recently ( I will do a post showing you the things that I got when they arrive) There is a seller for Boohoo.com on Ebay that sell their clothes at reduced prices, I bought a cardigan from them because I have been looking everywhere for one and I finally found one I liked! This is what it looks like:

I cant wait until all the things I’ve ordered arrive!

Bye for now!

Mani Monday ~ Nails of the day!

Hello! Hope you are all having a lovely day, I am very lucky because of my job Mondays are no longer dreaded days so I always enjoy them.

Anyway, today I thought I would do a Mani Monday post, I love to paint my nails- I even studied Acrylic and Gel nails a while ago.

So I used the MUA Nail polish in ‘Truffle cream’ it is a lovely nude colour, Avon gold nail polish and George ‘3D glitter’ Nail polish. I love the effect that the George glitter nail polish gives, the picture doesn’t do it justice but it sparkles in all different colours.

I did a glitter fade on the nude coloured nails just because I thought it would add a nice effect. My nails are finally starting to grow a little longer, I have started taking cod liver oil tablets and they seem to be really working!

After I painted my nails I used CND cuticle oil to keep my cuticles nice and to stop them going dry. I love this cuticle oil and it works wonders- especially in winter. When my nails dried I then used a little dove hand cream to keep my hands nice and soft.

So those are my nails of the day… I hope you like them, Bye for now!

September favourites!

I cant believe how quickly September has come, Its already the 20th today! September is my favourite month because its when it starts to get a little colder and autumn begins, I love to spend cozy nights in when its cold all snuggled up in my pj’s! Today I would like to share with you some things that I have been loving this month.

Maybeline Baby lips- I love these so much! Lip balms are my favourite and I don’t know why I didn’t get these sooner. They keep my lips nice and soft and they come in a range of different colours. Even though I already have 3 I will definitely be purchasing more!

Pink Notebook- I bought this a couple of months ago but I have only just started using it, I often get ideas for blog posts and this notebook is perfect for me to jot all of my ideas down in before I forget them.

W7 in the nude eyeshadow palette- This is something that I have wanted for a while and a few days ago I finally got it in the post! I love it, there are so many different looks you can create with this palette and nude colours are my favourite!

W7 Primer- I have been using this everyday and I love it. It makes my skin feel lovely and soft and some days I even wear this on its own without foundation.

Paper towns by John Green- I love to have something to read at night all cozy in bed, I got this book last week and I haven’t been able to put it down ever since! I cant wait to write a review on this once I have finished reading it!

Another favourite of this month is going on walks! I took this lovely picture the other day when we went on a walk through the woods..

I am saving up for a camera so hopefully I will be able to take better quality pictures for my blog soon!

What things have you been loving this month?

Thank you for reading!

Shopping, bargains and pretty flowers.

Today was a quiet day, I just popped to asda with my family and did a little shopping.

I like the asda near us because it has a section that sells books! After I finished ‘Life with a sprinkle of glitter’ I was lost when I realised I didn’t have anything else to read. So I decided to pick this up as I’ve heard about it and it sounds really good!

I also picked up a Loreal hair dye because I fancy going a little darker than what my hair is now and hopefully with this shade I wont have to bleach it! I have used this one before but in a different shade and I loved it! The colour lasted and it made my hair look so nice and healthy.

Whenever I go into asda I always search for the reduced trolleys because you can find really good things in them. They tend to be hidden away in our asda like right in the corner near the pop isle but always make sure to look for them because you can find some bargains!

In the reduced basket I found The Dr rescue Maybelline baby lips in coral for just £1.25!

Lastly I picked up this lovely bunch of flowers because a home isn’t complete without a nice vase of fresh flowers! I also love the cute little plastic strawberry that comes with them!

So that was all apart from food shopping but I’m sure you don’t want to see the tins of beans or milk that I got haha!

That’s all for now, Hope you all have had a lovely day x
