✮ Recent Inspirations ✮

Its been a while, but I really have missed blogging! To get back into things I thought Id do a post about a few things I’ve been into lately and some things that have inspired me.

One of the reasons I haven’t blogged recently is that I haven’t felt that inspired, I didn’t know what I wanted to blog about. While at work the other day I was having a little moan about how I missed blogging and how I never had ‘time’ to do it anymore. My manager gave me the little push I needed and said if I really want to do it then I will make time and that is very true! So I have decided I’m going to put some time aside and start blogging again.

✮Makeup- I have been playing around with different makeup looks recently, trying to step out of my comfort zone and use more colour so when the black Friday deals were on a couple of weeks ago I purchased the Urban Decay electric palette while it was 30% off at Debenhams. I had wanted this palette for so long, the colours in it are beautiful. The third picture above is a look created with the palette by ‘@sssamanthaa’ on Instagram. I love this look and I cant wait to try it out on myself.

✮Writing- After reading about them and putting it off for so long because I didn’t really know where to start.. I finally started a bullet journal! Hopefully this will help me to be more organized with blogging too.

✮Fashion- I am loving the big glasses trend at the moment, the bottom right picture is me wearing some I purchased from Primark the other day. I absolutely love them! I think the gold frame makes them look really pretty too.

✮Reading- I recently re read my favourite inspirational book- Sophia Amoruso’s #Girlboss This book always inspires me to keep going and push to work and achieve my dreams.

✮Quote- ‘Go the extra mile, its never crowded’ I love this quote, if you really want to do something, try harder- go the extra mile and you will achieve your goal. Recently I have been making more time in a morning to do different makeup looks and post on my Instagram. By doing this I’ve been getting more practice with my makeup and getting pictures to keep track of my progress.

What things have been inspiring you lately?

♡ Lush Halloween 2016 ♡

Hello everybody! Since getting into using lush products I have been ridiculously excited for the launch of this years Halloween products. So on the day they launched I popped into my local lush to pick up a couple of the products, I want to try all of them so I will go back and pick a couple more next week but these are the first two that I chose. Lord of Misrule and Sparkly Pumpkin! I have never tried any of the Lush seasonal products before so I was really excited!

When I went into Lush I spoke to a lovely member of staff that showed me all of the Halloween collection as it was my first time trying them and I liked the things she told me about Lord of Misrule, it is good for aching muscles and it also has popping candy in it! At first I thought it might be a little boring with it just being green but then they did a demo in the shop and I was surprised to see it has red in it as well which makes it look so pretty in the bath!

This is what Lord of Misrule looked like in the bath! The colours are so pretty and the smell is absolutely amazing, I think I will have to pick up some of the shower gel next time. Another thing I loved about this bath bomb was that it turned my bath water red! When I got out of the bath my skin felt so soft which I loved!

I haven’t used my sparkly pumpkin bubble bar yet but it smells soooo nice! Overall I am so pleased with this years Lush Halloween products, I cant wait until Friday when all of the Christmas products come out! I will definitely be stocking up on some snow fairy shower gel!

NYX Lip liner and Soft Matte Lip Cream Review!

While on a shopping in Barnsley (a town near where I live) I popped into boots and spotted an NYX counter! I don’t have one where I live so I was sooo excited when I spotted it! Something I have been wanting to try by NYX for ages is their soft matte lip creams because I have heard so much about them. I had to stop myself from buying the entire counter haha so in the end I picked up these 2 items: The soft matte lip cream in the shade 06 Instanbul and the retractable lip liner in the shade soft pink.

Retractable lip liner (soft pink)- I am not a massive fan of retractable lip liners just because I feel like they don’t last as long as pencil liners but since I loved the colour of this I got it anyway. I love this lip liner because it is quite soft, when you apply this it glides on the lips and doesn’t drag. The formula is really good and doesn’t smudge when its on.

Soft matte lip cream (Istanbul)- I am in love with the shade of this lipstick! Its like a pinky nude shade and perfect to pair with neutral makeup looks. I like the formula of this because its not too drying and it doesn’t crack once it dries which is a problem I have with some matte liquid lipsticks. This is more like a cream as the name suggests, which I love.

Those are the swatches of the lip liner and matte lip cream! The lip cream isn’t quite that dark in person its slightly lighter but its soooo nice I love it!

These are the first products I have tried by NYX and I am very impressed. Both products stayed on really well and are really good quality for an affordable price at £5.50 each.

Have you ever tried any products by NYX? If you have any reccomendations please make sure to let me know in the comments below!

A Big Hello! (& New Makeup Storage!)

Hello everybody! Its been a while.. I know. I have been so busy with work and things that I’ve just not had time to blog but I have missed it so much! While reading through some of my old blog posts I finally deciced it was time to start blogging again.

So many things have happened recently.. My best friend finally moved back to where I live and now I can see her all of the time again.. yay! I started a new job at Models own working with the things I love most..makeup and nails.. I love it so much and we have just realised a brand new makeup range which I am really excited about.

For todays post I decided to share my new makeup storage because my makeup collection has grown so much over these past few months and it really needed organising so I bought some drawers and some acrylic drawers to go on the top. I’m so happy I decided to sort it out properly and now I have an excuse to buy more makeup!

So first of all I have the little acrylic drawers, in the top compartment I keep all of my favourite nail varnishes and lipsticks and then in the drawers I have some other lip products, lipsticks, glosses and my beloved MUA lip laquers.

Then I have my big drawers; the first drawer is for all of my face products. Highlighters, foundations, contour palettes etc. I recently got a highlighter called ‘rainbeau’ which is a gorgeous rainbow highlighter.

The second drawer is filled with my eyeshadow palettes and my new eyebrow palette from models own which is literally AMAZING! Its just like benefits ‘brow zings’ you get a highlight for your brow bone, wax and a powder for filling in your brows. I have collected so many eyeshadow palettes recently aswell, my favourite at the moment is makeup revolutions new-turals vs neuturals palette!

This next drawer I just use for miscellaneous items like these.. the coloured mascara wands are from models own. They have a new mascara out where you can pick whichever wand you want to go with it depending on what look you want to go for!

Lastly I have the drawer where I keep all of my skincare items, my skin has been quite bad recently and so I decided to try the lush ultrabland facial cleanser and I have been loving it so far. My skin feels nice and fresh after using it and it has toned down some of my spots.

I am in love with my new storage and I’m so glad it is finally all organized.

Over the next few days I am going to organize a new blogging schedule and try to stick to it because I definitely want to get back into blogging, I’ve missed it so much!

How do you store your makeup? Or what would be your dream makeup storage?

Models Own Makeup Review!

Hello everyone! I cant believe how long it has been since I last posted! I have been so busy recently but I am going to try my best from now on to keep up with my posts.

I have recently received some products from the brand new Models Own makeup range which I am so excited about so I thought I would write a review on them and share some of the products with you!

The first thing I noticed is how gorgeous the packaging of these products is. Packaging is always a big selling point for me and the packaging for these is really pretty. I also love the fact that the makeup items are coloured differently depending on if they are for the eyes, face or lips. All of the products I am writing about today are face products.

I am so excited to see Models Own bringing out all of the new makeup, their nail varnishes are amazing and I have seen the makeup gradually being introduced into stores.

Sculpt and glow highlighter stick ‘Moonlight’ £9.99

The first thing I am going to talk about is the Sculpt and glow highlighter stick which I am soooo excited about because I am OBSESSED with highlighters! This one actually comes in two different shades but I chose this one in the shade ‘Moonlight’

“Vacation or staycation, this handy highlighting stick totally lifts your look. Can be used to highlight the eyes, face and body, leaving you illuminated and ready to face the world.”

This is a cream highlighter that comes in a stick form, I love this because it makes it so much easier to apply! You can use it underneath your foundation for a more subtle look or over if you are wanting to go for the full glow look which is my favourite!

The highlighter applies really nicely and blends easily too, I also love the fact that you can build up the product for a more intense highlight.

Sculpt and glow contour stick £9.99

The next thing is this amazing contour stick! At first I was unsure about how dark this looks but it is suitable for all skin tones. I am really pale but it still works really well on my skin, It blends out really easily and makes your contour look amazing! This is also perfect for extreme contouring because the stick makes it so easy to apply.

“This handy contouring stick delivers an illusion of depth. Can be used to sculpt the eyes, face and body.”

Rock N rosy blusher stick ‘Baby pop’ £6.99

I am not usually a fan of blusher, but when I saw this one I instantly fell in love! Its a gorgeous peach colour with a shimmer to it which makes it perfect for giving you that summer glow! The pigment of these is amazing and the golden shimmer is just so pretty and it is something I have never seen in a cream blusher before.

Runway Matte Foundation Shade 02 £8.99

The next item is something I am so excited to share with you all! The Models Own Runway Matte foundation. I couldn’t be more pleased with this product, I really struggle with trying to find foundations that suit my skin but when I first applied this I was amazed, it just instantly made my skin look flawless!

“Get totally even with this weightless matte liquid foundation that will take you seamlessly from am to pm.”

This foundation is perfect for me as I have quite oily skin so the matte foundation helps to keep my skin from looking oily throughout the day.

Overall I am so impressed with the new models own makeup products! They are all such good quality and perfect for creating flawless makeup looks! All of these products are available to buy in bottleshops now apart from the foundation which can be purchased on the Models Own website here.

Have you tried any of the new Models Own makeup products? Let me know in the comments below!

Primark Lip Products & Lipstick Storage

Hello lovelies! Its finally Friday.. Yay! I hope you have all had a great week,  I had my 4th driving lesson this week and actually felt way more confident than the other times so I was really pleased about that!

Last week I had a little shopping trip in Primark, I was disappointed as I didn’t really find any clothes that I liked but I did have a look in the beauty section. I have never actually tried any of Primark’s makeup products apart from false eyelashes because I never expected them to be any good, but after reading various good reviews and a couple of my blogging friends talking about them I decided to give them a go!

I opted for a lip liner pencil which doesn’t have a shade name but its a lovely bright pink colour and a lipstick in the shade ‘Marshmallow’

Ps Lip liner pencil: I am in love with the colour of this lipliner, its such a bright, vibrant pink shade. I have been looking for a colour like this for ages and have never been able to find one. The liner applied ok but I was a little disappointed as it seemed to drag a little when I applied it and didn’t really apply smoothly but for £1 it has really good colour pay off and looks amazing on.

Ps Moisture rich lipstick with Vitamin E Shea Butter: I literally have nothing negative to say at all about this lipstick. It is a gorgeous colour and goes perfect with the lip liner. It applies smoothly and the colour payoff is amazing! It is really good quality which I didn’t expect at all.

Overall I am really pleased and pleasantly surprised at the quality of the primark beauty products and I will definitely be trying more in the future! If you are going to try any I definitely recommend these two as a combo for the perfect summery pink lip!

While I was in the beauty section I also spotted this lipstick holder for £2! Although I do have way more lipsticks than the 7 slots it has I still decided to get it because I can display the 7 lipsticks that I use the most in it, it looks really nice and its so worth £2.

I think Primark are definitely upping their game in the beauty department, I will definitely be purchasing some more beauty products from there soon.

Have you tried any of the Primark beauty products? What did you think of them?

Think Pink!

13014848_253779671635211_341458348_n.jpgHello everyone I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday! As you may be able to tell from the title, todays post is going to be about all things pink. I am so excited because today I am teaming up with Glossier to share some of my favourite pink things to celebrate the #glossierpink range! Glossier is a beauty company inspired by what girls need in real life. They are creating the new essentials: easy-to-use basics that form the backbone to your unique beauty routine. You can find their beauty products on their website here

I have always been a real girly girl, I just love anything in pink, handbags, lipstick, blush, anything!

Some of my favourite pink things include:

Nails/nail varnish: I must have about 50 different shades of pink nail varnish, I just love it! It’s my favourite colour to paint my nails and if I ever get them done at the salon I usually opt for pink then too!

Clothes: I actually don’t own many pink items of clothing but I do have the pink jumper in the picture above that I love. It’s so cozy!

Lipstick/lipgloss: I do love a bright pink lip, especially in the summer! It completes a makeup look and adds a girly feel.

Basically, I love anything pink! I have a pink fluffy charm for my handbag that is super cute! I bought my little dog a pink collar which she wears all the time, even a little pink coat for her for winter.. she looks so cute in it!

I have loved doing this collaboration with Glossier, especially getting to talk about all things pink! Don’t forget to check out their website and beauty range here for more information!

Are you a fan of pink? If so what are your favourite pink things?
